CLUB FORMS AND DOCUMENTS
Below are necessary club forms and documents.
In an effort to increase concussion awareness and prevent concussion-related injuries, the state of Minnesota has recently passed a law that will require all coaches and officials of youth sports to receive initial online concussion prevention training and online training at least once every three calendar years thereafter. The required online training takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Edina Soccer Club requires that all coaches and referees complete the required online concussion prevention training module. Edina Soccer Club will not permit anyone who has not completed this training to coach an ESC team.
To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports. The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. For more information, please visit the CDC Heads Up page.
A certificate of completion dated 8/1/17 or later is required to be on file with ESC. Please email a copy of your current certificate to the Club at firstname.lastname@example.org. Certificates will remain valid through July 2020.
