Referees

There is a Referee Training Information meeting Wednesday, February 7th 2024 at 6pm in the Edina Community Center Room 350: learn more about becoming a certified soccer referee!

Interested in becoming a referee for Edina Soccer Club, and work other metro soccer games as well? We are always looking to add more referees to our program.

If you are a:

•youth player wanting to grow your knowledge of the game (must be 13 years of age or older!)

•soccer enthusiast with an interest to impact the game

•parent of a soccer player and want to support youth soccer in a new, active way

•collaborative, open-minded individual who is motivated to actively improve your skills

•natural leader wanting to apply your abilities to the great game

...Then you may just be the perfect fit for our program!

Certified referees earn $30-$80 per ESC game.

An overview of the process to become a certified referee:

1) Visit www.minnesotasrc.com to create an account and complete training.  All training is housed on this website.

2) Complete training via website above (8 hours, can be done ‘not in one sitting’) and attend one in-person clinic at your convenience (5 hours). We plan to host one in Edina early April 2024.

3) Begin working games!
